Grosvenor Square circa 1720

“Named for an annual fair held since the time of Edward III, until the prim Victorians shut it down because people were having too much fun! The most expensive property on the Monopoly Board and still one of the most exclusive areas of London. Developed from the 1720s by the Grosvenor family and still owned by the Duke of Westminster today.

We shall meander through Mayfair’s garden squares: meeting at the NE corner of Hanover Square at 6 pm . We shall take in Berkley and Grosvenor Square and we shall finish at Shepherd Market.”
