The V&A is running an online and in-person course on the Arts of Korea, offering a wonderful opportunity for anyone with an interest in Korean art, history, and culture.

Discover the rich visual and material culture of Korea with this outstanding 10-week online/in-person course offered by the V&A Academy, running from 20th April to 29th June 2026.

Led by Dr Helen Glaister, Course Director for Arts of Asia at the V&A, the course takes participants on a journey from ancient tomb arts to contemporary Korean fashion and popular culture. Topics include innovations in ceramics, metalwork, lacquer and textiles, the role of Buddhism along the Silk Routes, the traditional hanbok, the representation of women in the Modern Age, and the impact of colonialism and division as reflected through twentieth-century visual arts.
