Join us for a special opportunity to explore the richness and diversity of Korean art and material culture in this major Korean exhibition at the British Museum.

The exhibition draws almost exclusively from the extraordinary collection of 23,000 works bequeathed in 2021 by the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-Hee to the National Museum of Korea (NMK) and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA). Bringing together works of exceptional artistic and historical significance, including numerous National Treasures and Treasures, the exhibition offers a unique journey through 2,000 years of Korean creativity and cultural heritage.

Sang-ah Kim, Curator of Korean Collections and Lead Curator of Korea at the British Museum, will give a 30-minute talk introducing the exhibition and offering insights into some of its highlights followed by a Q&A. Following the talk and Q&A, members will be free to explore the exhibition at their own leisure and enjoy the works at their own pace.

This is a members-only event and there is no charge for the exhibition visit. Numbers are limited for the event. 

After the exhibition visit, we are planning to have an informal meal at a nearby Korean restaurant at attendees’ own cost.
