***Please note that this event has been postponed. The House of Lords have cancelled all banqueting events. They have taken a decision on advice from UKHSA in order to protect core parliamentary business from an increase in Covid infections because of a serious Covid-related incident in the Houses of Parliament. ***

Viscount Trenchard

Hugh Trenchard, 3rd Viscount Trenchard DL, is an investment banker and a member of the House of Lords. He has visited Korea regularly since 1982 and was responsible for Kleinwort Benson’s operations in the country for several years. He has served as a Senior Advisor on Korea to Prudential Financial, Inc. He is also a former Chairman of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and currently serves as Honorary Air Commodore of 600 (City of London) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force. Viscount Trenchard  has visited Korea around 50 times. Most recent visit was in November 2019.

Rt Hon Amanda Milling

The Rt Hon Amanda Milling has been Minister for Asia at the Foreign, Development & Commonwealth Office since September 2021. Previously, she was co-Chairman of the Conservative Party and Minister without Portfolio at the Cabinet Office and a Government Whip from 2018 to 2020. She is originally from Staffordshire and has been MP for Cannock Chase since the 2015 General Election.

HE The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Gunn Kim

Prior to his appointment as Ambassador he was the ROK’s Deputy Foreign Minister.

A veteran diplomat, who has served in posts handling North Korean nuclear issues, North America and China affairs.
