Chuseok Celebration, 21 September 2015

Some 50 members attended the annual Chuseok celebration party, once again generously hosted by our Joint President, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea His Excellency Sungnam Lim in the Residence.
Guests enjoyed fine wines and delicious traditional Korean food in a relaxed and convivial environment. In his welcoming remarks the Ambassador spoke of his very deep affection for the UK and commended the BKS for its work. He expressed his wish to do more together with the Society in the future. Echoing his warm sentiments, the Chairman reminded those present of the significance of Chuseok, thanked the Ambassador and his wife for their hospitality and support, and undertook to see what more the Society could do to add weight to the bilateral relationship. He wished all those present, especially members of the Embassy and their families, a very happy Chuseok holiday. Many thanks to Beatrice Colbrant and Jim Thomson for sharing their photos.
