On Wednesday July 27th 2016, a short service was held at the Korean War Memorial Victoria Embankment London.

Among those present were the Korean ambassador H.E. Mr Joonkook Hwang, the Rt Hon Earl Howe, Minister of State, MOD, and a number of British Veterans of the Korean War.

Prayers were led by Deputy Assistant Chaplain-General of the British Army The Revd Steven Whiting MBE. A bugler played the last post followed by one minute’s silence and reveille. Finally, wreaths were laid by Ambassador Hwang, the Rt Hon Earl Howe and Korean War Veteran Mr Alan Guy MBE. After the service the ROK Embassy most kindly invited everyone to the nearby Corinthia Hotel for lunch, offering us all once again warm hospitality and sincere friendship.
