Bursary Programme

The British Korean Society, through the Bursary Committee of the British Association for Korean Studies (BAKS), awards a number of annual bursaries to post-graduate students.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donations from our members we have been able to increase these substantially in recent years so that in 2014 we awarded four bursaries of £1,000 each. However the number may vary from year to year depending on the availability of our funds.

The bursaries are open to students of any nationality studying for a post-graduate degree at a British university. Their programme of study or research must be largely if not wholly focused on Korea, past or present. For more details visit the BAKS website (http://www.baks.org.uk/).

Some past bursary recipients are featured below.
