Priscilla Kim is a PhD student at the School of Journalism, Language and Communication at the University of Central Lancashire. She obtained her B.A. and M.A. in East Asian Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. Priscilla is researching Track II diplomatic efforts between the United States and North Korea during the second North Korea nuclear crisis (2002-2009). Her research will focus on the New York Philharmonic Orchestra’s visit to North Korea, and the efforts by the National Committee on American Foreign Policy (NCAFP). She intends to use the Bursary to cover her flight costs for her research trip to the United States, where she will interview organizers and participants of Track II diplomacy, and gather the necessary data relevant to her research.
