Korean Sounds – East Meets West: Spring

East Meets West: Spring is the first concert of the Korean Sounds Series 2017, as part of the Korea/UK 2017-18 Season.
This series of concerts presents opportunities for audiences to hear both traditional Korean and classical music in one place.
The theme of the first concert is Spring. In the first half of this concert the Court Music Orchestra of the National Gugak Center will perform Korean music depicting a sense of spring and in the second half members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and pianist Chiao-Ying Chang will perform Gabriel Fauré’s first piano quartet and an arrangement of Astor Piazzolla’s ‘Primavera Potena’ (Spring).
